Hälsoundersökning av adoptivbarn

Agnetha Meeuwisse

International adoption has occurred in Sweden since the end of the 1950s. Since this time, around 45 000 adopted children have come to Sweden from other countries. A medical examination adapted to the special needs of the adopted children should be offered. These are mainly carried out at different paediatric clinics across the country. National mapping shows similarities as well as differences in the content of these medical examinations. The paediatric clinics have different examination schedules. A greater conformity across the country would be appropriate. Key words: Adoption, immunization status, medical examination, physical examination.
